Postgraduate

Welcome fellow postgraduate students to the Caulfield Campus of Monash University.

The Caulfield Campus is the ideal place to study as a busy postgraduate student. This is particularly true if you are one of the majority coursework postgraduate students who often have to balance full time work, life and study pressures.

While postgraduate students have access to all the services of an undergraduate student including community services (doctors, counsellors, etc), and Monyx services (careers and employment, financial and legal assistance etc). The best thing, however, is the extra library benefits.

I can now borrow any number of books I want and also get access to specific postgraduate study facilities and personal study rooms in the library.

As a postgraduate student you also have the opportunity to get involved in student representation with MONSU Caulfield, which introduced a new postgraduate specific position in 2003.

Monash also offers postgraduate representative opportunities on the University Council and Academic Board.

Getting involved in MONSU Caulfield, the Monash University bodies and committees and other clubs is a great way to make university life more fun and meet new people.

With the extra assistance on and off campus, Caulfield is a great environment in which to complete postgraduate studies.

In 2002 a new postgraduate student lounge was opened on Level 2 of A Block. To register for access to this room, and the postgraduate-only computer lab on campus, you need to visit the Campus Service Centre to collect an application form.

In 2006 postgraduate students are specifically represented by their MONSU Caulfield Postgraduate Officer – Johnny Kandathil.Johnny can be contacted by email at postgraduate@monsucaulfield.org.au
