Semester 1

Orientation Day

Join several thousand new students in experiencing University life for the first time! O-Day helps you find out about your course and other things that you can get involved in at Uni. Join a Host Leader for the campus tours and other activities where you will find out about your campus and win some great prizes. Don’t forget the free welcome lunch.

Beach Day

Join 500 new students on a day trip to the beach for fun in the sun. At Beach Day, friendships are formed lasting throughout your time at Monash and beyond. For a small fee, you will receive lunch, transport, a great program of activities and the opportunity to meet other students. Sign up at enrolments.

An after party has been scheduled directly after Beach Day, which will include free entry and live entertainment (DJ). Entry is limited to over 18s, so ensure you bring your photo ID.

OFest

‘Orientation Festival’ is held in week one of semester and is the highlight of the whole year! This week is fun, educational, social, informative, mostly free, and getting involved is a great start to your university experience.  Each day has heaps of stuff happening, so you have no excuse not to get involved!!! On Thursday of week one, it’s time to party as new and old students let their hair down for one of the biggest events of the year, the Orientation Party.

Student Survival Week

Adjusting to university life can be tough. Coping with the demands of study, making new friends, and for many living out of home for the first time can take their toll on first year uni students. Student Survival Week encourages students to take advantage of the free services and support available to them on campus in order to achieve a smooth transition to university life.

Sex It Up

Sex-it-Up or sexual awareness week is a week of celebration of sex and human relationships. The aim of this week is to help students with issues to do with sex, sexual relationships, sexuality, relationships, romance and choices. There will also be plenty of activities, information sessions and the big Sex-it-Up party on Thursday.

Stress Less Day

Feeling a little stressed? Assignments and tests getting you down? This event has been specifically designed for students during their final weeks of term 1, with the aim of bring the student’s attention to the need to relax, have fun and reduce the stress in their lives. Look forward to a free lunch and massages.

The official first semester After Exams Party. A good outlet for all the tension and frustration built up during the exam time.

Dis O-Week

Disorientation Week is made up of a program of information sessions, tours and events designed to help the students to get to know Monash Uni in general and the campus specifically. We have organised activities to get new and current students acquainted with the fun side of uni.

21st - 24th July

Open Day

Open Day is a great way for prospective students to find out what Monash can do for them and their future. On this day students are able to:

  • Get the inside info on course workloads and social life at uni
  • Chat to current students about campus life and their study experiences
  • Join in the many activities and soak up the atmosphere

3rd August

Multicultural Week

MWeek offers a unified way for students to celebrate their unique cultural backgrounds. The week will include dance & music performances and free food. The week is capped off with a massive party.

5th - 7th August

NCBC

The National Campus Band Competition (NCBC) is the biggest national band comp in the southern hemisphere and here at Caulfield we invite all bands - no matter what genre - to get up and perform in front of judges on the Caulfield heat. For more info checkout our myspace closer to event date.

20th August

Comedy Night

The night feature prominent Australian comedians, so be prepared for big laughs. This event has always been a sell out. So keep a look out for poster boards and signs around campus closer to event date.

3rd September

Stress Less Day

Time for assignments and tests again? Take the time to relax, have some fun and reduce the stress in your life. Look forward to a free lunch and massages.
