Melbourne has so many festivals there will always be something that will appeal to one’s interests. Here are but a few of the many on offer.

  • Chinese New Year festival
    Chinese New Year
    Held on the banks of Crown, features Street Bazaar, food stalls and dragon boat racing.

    The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world. The aim of the Comedy Festival is to showcase both Australian and International comedy acts.
  • Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF)
    Approx. July- August each year

    MIFF is the largest and longest running film festival in both Asia and Australia. The festival features over 400 films from over 50 countries.
  • Melbourne International Jazz Festival

  • Melbourne Underground Film Festival (MUFF)
    Approx. July each year

  • Meredith Music Festival
    Held mid December each year.

  • Midsumma Festival
    J an- Feb runs for approximately 3 weeks.

  • Moomba Waterfest
    Held Labour Day long weekend in March.
    Features water-skiing competition, birdman rally, entertainment.
  • Port Fairy Folk Festival
