Student Rights - Helping you navigate your way around university
Student Rights is a vital service for the students of Monash University.
The policy of our service is to assist students with their academic and/or administrative concerns. Student Rights is a confidential service run by the MONSU Student Assistance unit. We provide information, advice, referral and, if necessary assistance and/or advocacy for academic meetings or hearings regarding your university studies.
Student rights specialises in providing assistance in the following areas:
- academic progress;
- cheating or plagiarism accusations;
- student grievances;
- result disputes;
- administration questions;
- special consideration.
Student Rights staff are actively involved with various aspects of campus life, including orientation, clubs and societies and events. They can also provide a network within the university to other services that can assist you in finding the right person or poicy to attend to your needs. We can assit you in the various forms, including:
- face-to-face appointments;
- meetings via telephone or email;
- provide a broad range of information on student issues;
- provide the university with information on the difficulties that students face;
- referral to specialists.
