About Us
Student rights is an important service for the students and staff of Monash University. It is based on the policy of assisting students with their academic or administrative concerns. We are a confidential service supported by the student union to make the student experience more beneficial.
Our service achieves this through providing information or advice to students, and assisting or advocating for them, in meetings or hearings regarding their studies.
We are involved in exam assistance, academic progress, cheating or plagiarism accusations, student grievances, result disputes, and course or fee administration questions. You’ll also see us involved in orientation, student societies, and various community groups on campus.
We also provide a network into the university with links to other services that can assist students to find the right person or policy to achieve their goal.
We can provide you with face-to-face appointments, telephone meetings, or email replies and files to assist with your concerns. Student rights can provide a broad range of information on student affairs and can also research your concerns to provide information to the university on the difficulties students face.
